Mark Armbruster, CEO of Armbruster Capital Management, recently received an honorable mention in the Lifetime Achievement category of the 2025 Invest in Others Awards. Presented by the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation, the award celebrates financial advisors who make a meaningful impact in communities around the world through community service.
Mark was recognized for his longstanding volunteer leadership at Empowering People’s Independence (EPI), a nonprofit organization that supports individuals with epilepsy, developmental disabilities, and other serious health conditions across New York State.
His involvement with EPI became especially personal in 2019, when Mark’s son Amer was diagnosed with epilepsy. In response, he and his family launched Seize the Day: Amer’s Epilepsy Trail Run, an annual fundraising event that’s grown into a true community effort. Over the years, it has raised more than $200,000 to fund epilepsy services, including Camp EAGR, the only camp in New York State specifically designed for children with epilepsy and their siblings.
Beyond fundraising, Mark has contributed his time and expertise to the organization by serving on EPI’s board, acting as treasurer, and leading as president. His passion for EPI’s mission continues to inspire those around him, including his daughter Nyla, who recently chaired the 4th annual race.
As part of the honorable mention, EPI will receive a $2,000 donation from Invest in Others (IiO) to further its mission of providing personalized care and support to those facing complex challenges.
